2022 Toyota Venza

The 2022 Venza is the new standard for what a crossover should be. The new-generation Toyota Hybrid System in the Venza combines a high-efficiency 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine with three electric motors in a highly compact system. The result is a system that produces 219 horsepower, 206 ft-lb of torque, and an average of 40MPG (5.9 L/100km) combined fuel economy. To manage these figures, the gas engine employs a host of engine technologies, such as intelligent variable valve timing. The new Venza is also equipped with Predictive Efficient Drive (PED), a system that analyzes and optimizes your fuel efficiency based on your driving habits, routes, and other factors. This all culminates in significant savings at the pump.

The 2022 Venza also comes standard with Toyota’s Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive, a highly efficient system that takes maximizes the advantages of the engine’s benefits. The Electronic On-Demand AWD system utilizes a separate rear-mounted electric motor to power the rear wheels when needed, a much more efficient method than convention AWD. It works seamlessly and transparently, initially distributing up to 80 percent of driving force to the rear wheels which helps suppress front wheel slip during off-the-line starts, then adjusting to deliver most or all of the power to the front wheels while you drive.
